Gresham Hunt are retained by a Tier One Real Estate Private Equity firm as they search for an Associate to join their Private Credit team based in NYC.
Requirements:
- 2 - 6 years of professional experience in real estate finance, demonstrating a strong foundation in the industry from a Top-Tier institution.
- Proven track record of extensive experience in underwriting bridge, construction, mezzanine debt & preferred equity
- Demonstrated proficiency in Excel, with strong financial modeling and spreadsheet analysis skills.
- Possesses critical thinking abilities and an analytical mindset, with the capacity to simplify complex ideas into clear and presentable messages.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, demonstrating a strong capacity for taking initiative.
Responsibilities:
- Assist senior investment professionals with comprehensive underwriting, due diligence, transaction execution, and asset management of direct lending and other real estate investment opportunities.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and analysis, specifically utilizing Excel, to support underwriting and due diligence processes.
- Skilled in developing and documenting transaction rationale and investment strategies, including the creation and presentation of compelling investment memoranda and investor presentation materials.
- Independently source new business/lending opportunities and efficiently monitor the deal origination process
